Pics!

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

We decided to visit the families down south. My mother’s house contains two pug ladies:

The very first pictures

Here are the very first pictures of Igor when he was 1-8 weeks old. In some pictures you can see his brothers too. These are all from our breeders website.

Here are a few photos I just took off the camera. Mostly Igor just doing random things:)

The tick story

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Yes, Igot got a tick while we were in the south. Despite the achipelago being a tick-heavy zone he actually got it (or at least it was discovered) in Raisio. Veera was petting him and felt a tiny lump among the hairs and sure enough, it was a motherfucker!

We drove down to the apotechary (at 22:30) and got a pair of tick tweezers which we then used to pick the tick off of him. Here’s a picture of the motherfucker on the tweezers (the fork is there just for good measure).

Some more peektures

These are some of the more recent pictures we have taken of Igor slouching around and being a general butt.

A Family portrait

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Here are two pictures from when we last visited Southern Finland. Me and Veera are dressed up to go and show Igor to the guests at my brother’s graduation party. He was somewhat larger than on the baby pictures but not quite as large (or as nasty) as he’s grown up to be.

Igor’s baby pics!

These pics were taken on the weekend we went to get Igor. Isn’t he such a tiny turd?

A Dog’s Life

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

We went for a long walk today and afterwards Igor’s been really limp. He met a bunch of three dogs and was curious and frightened and excited at the same time. After some time we met another small dog and they smelled eachother and we went on. We’re teaching Igor to walk properly on the leash and it’s been cumbersome but he’s starting to get the hang of it; whenever he tries to lead us or go his own way, I make a small correction tug on the leash. The result is that he will learn to walk on the area where the leash stays loose all the time and it’s been a quite successfull tactic.

Here’s some webcam pics I just took of the dog and my red shirt. Enjoy.

Weekend!

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I took Igor for a little stroll outside and he followed me around obediently enough, lured by a constant stream of treats from my pocket. I’ve begun to use small time-outs preceded by a strong ‘NO’ if he tries to nibble on hands, feet or pants. I don’t know if it works or not but I’ve decided to be consistent with him. We’ll see what happens.

Igor got such dirty feet and tummy during his walk (the melting snow from the sides of the roads makes little puddles of dirt all over) that we took the hand shower again and washed his belly, which he oddly enough didn’t resist at all. A good boy, then!

Here’s some random photo booth pictures taken just now. Toodeloo.
